Season 2: Division Change Trial

The IASF has received feedback from Season 2 coaches regarding the need for increased flexibility to enable continued participation as athletes from U18 divisions age up into Open divisions and to allow male athletes to enter or retire from the sport, without impacting the team’s eligibility.

This adjustment is for a trial period of 1 year, the IASF and qualifying event producers will review the impact of this adjustment in late 2026.
A decision to extend the trial period or revise the policy will be released in late 2026/early 2027.

The trial would adjust the division change policy to allow for limited division change requests in extenuating circumstances. 
– Requests will be made to the IASF and reviewed by the qualifying event producers, all requests are subject to approval.
– Requests must be a result of extenuating circumstances.
– Requests must be received within a specified time period.
